Az arany ára a húsz évvel 400 USD/uncia szintről mára meghaladta a 4000 USD-t unciánként, grammja 129 USD, azaz 43 ezer forint a piacon, s folyamatosan nő.
Az előfordulások arany érceinek 70 %-át a cianidos kioldás valamelyik változatával dolgozzák fel. A világon csak néhány országban tiltották be ezt a technológiát, köztük Argentina több megyéjében (2003-tól), Costa Ricában (csak a halmazlúgzást, 2002-től), az USA 50 államából 3-ban (2003-tól), a Cseh Köztársaságban (2006), Németországban (2006-tól, fokozatosan), Magyarországon (2009).
A technológia 25 év alatt nagymértékben korszerűsödött, biztonsága nőtt. Ideje lenne a hazai parlamenti tiltást felülvizsgálni, hiszen gyorsan növekvő államadósságunk egyik aranyfedezete éppen a hazai előfordulások munkába állításában lenne: Recsk-Lahóca, Telkibánya, Fűzérradvány, Mád és több alig ismert más előfordulás vár feltárásra.

The price of gold has now exceeded 4,000 USD per ounce from 400 USD/ounce twenty years ago, and its gram is 129 USD, or 43 thousand forints on the market, and is constantly growing. 70% of the gold ores in the occurrences are processed using some version of cyanide leaching.
This technology has been banned in only a few countries in the world, including several counties in Argentina (since 2003), Costa Rica (only batch leaching, since 2002), 3 of the 50 states of the USA (since 2003), the Czech Republic (2006), Germany (since 2006, gradually), and Hungary (2009).
The technology has been greatly modernized and its safety has increased in 25 years. It would be time to review the domestic parliamentary ban, as one of the golden hedges for our rapidly growing national debt would be to put domestic occurrences to work: Recsk, Telkibánya, Fűzérradvány, Mád and several other little-known occurrences are waiting to be explored.
